i remember the good ol days when u got em for 2m a piece. aaah.
ROFL yep I remember those days buying all the stock for 3-4 mill in Yulai and Nonni and dumping them straight back on the market for 8-9. Almost not worth it now but occasionally still buy for 9-10 and dump back for 12. Oh and and dabbled in Memory implants as well managed to take them up from 19 mill to 33 quite a nice profit there too. Heh Muppets!
Time to start looking for my next market to own. If anyone has any suggestions am quite open to bounce another market stupidly high - amazing what people will pay for.
If anyone has anything they want investments in give me a call as you can imagine my bank balance is rather heathly. So if you're a producer of something rareish and would like to make more of a profit let me know.
Amazing that just one person can make soo much difference and there's you bunch of idiots believing that the markets where too damn high - well if you find people willing to pay 12 mill for 1 cap recharger II and 33 million for a memory implant wtf do you expect.
I say this only now as I'm out of those markets - I think memory's have dropped to under 20 again so maybe time to have a revisit. Suspect ice mining products might be my next investment so don't expect to be running those starbases cheaply

Idiot think about it do you really understand the markets - obviously not. After making a nice bit of cash with a few markets it was an obvious one to expand into.
If you take a moment to look at the mechanics its rather simple even possibly for you. Can almost forget wp and em implants not worth it tbh so that leaves 3. Per implants are given out by naval corps so everyone and his dog who wants to fight npcs does these - not rare. Intel implants given out by quite a few R&D type corps so quite a few people doing those to get/keep or better their standings with R&D agents - a bit rarer due to the nature of science people i.e. not many. Right so that leaves Mem implants. If you look at the corps that do give out these such as Yitri "STORAGE" you'd actually see that most of the corps tend to be courier missions. Most people find them boring so not many people do them which hence makes the implants v rare.
Right understand so far or do I have to slow down for you?
If you then looked at the markets (key ones anyway). Yulai region generally had 3-10 on the market at any one time (depending mostly on what day of the week it was). Jita a few more and Nonni in between. Now if you imagine how much that bunch would come to - a fair amount but not exactly a killer. You shuttle between the regions not only collecting the buy orders you had out for 5 mill less but you buy the entire market across 3 regions and dump a % of them back on the market at quite a few mill higher. People get more implants and put sell orders a few mill lower than yours. Now if you have the balls you buy those as well and dump them straight back on higher than your own. If you have the patience and the cash its actually very easy to strangle a market.
So I suggest the clue you've asked me to find is actually under your fat ass. Sorry I don't usually flame back but I'm actually quite proud of the achievement and don't like those that just don't have the resources to fathom what I've done belittling it.
Anyway you're dragging this off topic. I'd like to see what both groups try and do next if you don't mind.

That would be like trying to corner the Trit Market, Ice products are normal ores found around empire space.
Youre welcome to try though
Thought about it? What can you mine ice fields with? Miner I's - nope. Miner II's - nope. Ice Miner's - yep Can they fit on a "normal" ship - nope Can they fit on a mining barge - yep. Is everyone going to buy barges - nope. So only a few people actually ice mining and I bet a great deal of those that do will only mine for their corp/alliance - hmm smells like a rare market to me.
It's one thing to corner a rare market but if you can see it coming first - ooh boy!

Been there? Tried it? idiot. Yes it was in short supply but would the price have risen so much if I hadn't bought out the 3 largest supplier regions at 17-19 mill and dropped them back on at 22-24. And then obviously it wasn't just me (hats off to Toran). Then a week to 10 days later jump from 22-24 to 27-29 and then another 2 weeks to 33.
It's only playing the stock market if I'd have kept trying I'd have been broke as Toran pointed out they started to appear a fair bit more frequently. I also know of a few people that went from corps doing int/wp to mem due to the difference in cash they could make from the implants. Oh and if you tried getting mem implant drops at the time from merc divisions (do yitri have one btw - no!) you'd find the drop was even less before that bug was fixed.
So in the end the high price actually helped more implants reach the market anyway.
Shame the same can't be said for rechargers I expect everyone is probably producing as fast as possible so without an influx of at least a few more bpo's I can't see the price falling anytime soon.
CR3's anyone?

I know so because my 2nd account is a dedicated mission spammer which has worked for this guy for ages. (Standing with his corp = 9.5)
Implant acquisition time for combat missions = at least 100% faster than with courrier missions. Has always been like this.
% wise there are very very few mem implant drops as compared to per and int as previously mentioned and also % wise there is very few merc divisions within memory corps than the others.
Can I suggest we both have valid points (I do concede it wasn't solely me but I do realise how much I did do) and that we leave this to get back on topic of the Old Farts and their mercenary problem. I just happened to explain why Cap recharger II's where at quite an inflated price and yes I did use to buy them in bulk from Digger Dave in Yulai (Have had time to go through my logs) at quite a few million less than I then resold for. I'm still not saying sorry for the idiots that are prepared to buy the rechargers for 12 million though - I'm sorry but it's those people that are hurting the prices not anything else.
So I'll stop bickering with you Juan - sorry and I'll leave the rest of this story to unfold.

*Sigh*
Did you actually read any of the content here before presenting your coherent and well thought out comment?
If the producers of recharger II's supply the markets at 2-4 million, I and like minded individuals will buy them all up and drop them straight back on the market for a vast profit. Yep you could blame me, the Marketeer, but then again why not blame those that are actually willing to buy it at that price.
Interesting question though can the producers not supply bpc's of them?
